Bio

My name is K Callaghan and I'm a full time artist working in my new city of Loveland, Colorado. I have been painting and creating art since I was young and have recently (2009) decided to fulfill my dream of being a full time artist.

I studied art and design principals at Kansas University and received an Arts degree in 2007 while attending college in Kansas City. I have studied many types of art from graphic design and illustration to painting and printmaking.

My mission is to bring a mix of abstract/sophisticated artwork and unique creation into focus. I love several types of application and see no need to limit my creations to one medium. I enjoy using: acrylics, pastels, oil, textured mediums, watercolor and silkscreen printing. In the future I will embark on a new mission to combine those elements into what I hope to be some inspiring mixed media pieces. Color theory is my true passion as it drives and inspires my work. It will be my guide along my creative path.
